Year 9 Geography Trip

Year 9 Field Geography Trip

Monday 26th September

Chase Water Outdoor Activity Centre

In recognition that Geography is an exciting subject that is best studied outside of the classroom, the Geography Department have organised a field trip to Chasewater Activity Centre. Chasewater is situated on a large site which includes a lake, wetland area and woodland habitat’s making it an ideal place to study the natural environment. Activities on the day will include a fully guided pond dipping session and nature walk, followed by the team based geography challenge in the afternoon.

The emphasis of the trip is for Students to gain practical field work experience and also help improve their understanding in preparation for GCSE Geography. The cost of the trip is part subsidised and limited to a maximum of 50 students at a cost of £8.50.
Students are not required to wear school uniform, but it is advisable to wear practical warm clothing and sensible shoes. Waterproofs are also recommended. We will depart from school at 9.00am and return by 3.20pm.
